About MAREUS
A family story, from 1991
MAREUS is a Romanian brand of premium clothes made from natural materials: natural fur, leather, wool and cashmere. We believe in a simple idea: a well-chosen piece remains relevant long after a single season.
It all started in 1991, in Neamț county, in a workshop set up right at home. Our parents worked natural fur with their own hands. The father knew the materials and knew how to judge a leather, and the mother came with tailoring training and an eye for tailoring. We grew up in that workshop and understood from a young age that experience, patience and respect for the material lie behind a well-made garment. From my parents I also inherited the things that cannot be seen: discipline, seriousness and the belief that reputation is built over years and can be lost in a day.
From fur hats with which it all started, we gradually built an elegant and urban brand. Today, MAREUS collections include natural fur clothing, shearling and merino pieces, genuine leather jackets, cashmere and wool coats, vests, capes and accessories, alongside a line dedicated to men.

The people behind the brand
We are the second generation of a family business, and we have come to develop it from different, yet complementary, perspectives.
Upon finishing our studies, we saw in the experience accumulated by our family the opportunity to build more than just a trading business: a contemporary brand with identity, standards, and a clear direction.
Marian has a technical background and a career spanning over ten years in IT, experience that has brought to MAREUS a structured approach, oriented towards strategy, digitalization, processes, and long-term development.
Eusebiu graduated in Management, specializing in Marketing, and is closely involved in operations, commercial development, and client relations.
We have different styles, and it is precisely this complementarity that helps us. We make important decisions together, with the same objective: to build a solid, coherent, and long-term MAREUS.
Our mission
I grew up with the idea that a good garment shouldn't just be relevant for a single season. We wanted to carry our family's experience forward in a modern form: through elegant, urban pieces made from natural materials that are easy to integrate into a contemporary wardrobe.
We don't believe that tradition means staying in the past, nor that elegance must follow every trend. Modern, but rooted. Urban, yet elegant.
In a world of fast consumption, we believe in pieces created to last. We select natural materials and products that can maintain their value both aesthetically and functionally. We focus on the quality of materials, tailoring, comfort, finishes, and attention to detail.
Each purchase is accompanied by information on product care, and our team offers recommendations and consultations both online and in the showroom.
For us, a successful sale doesn't end when a product leaves the store. It is confirmed when the customer returns.

MAREUS collections are built around natural fur, genuine leather, shearling, wool, cashmere, and other natural fibers, selected for their quality, appearance, and durability.
Our natural fur primarily comes from Saga Furs, the Finnish auction house, as well as other specialized auction houses in Northern Europe and North America. We have also begun integrating materials with Furmark certification, an international traceability standard, into our collections.
Part of our collection continues to be crafted in the Neamț region, maintaining a connection to our origins, while the development of other products is carried out in collaboration with specialized European factories.
In this way, MAREUS brings two worlds together: the experience we grew up with and the expertise required by a contemporary premium outerwear brand.
