About MAREUS
A family story, from 1991
MAREUS is a Romanian premium clothing brand made from natural materials: natural fur, leather, wool and cashmere. We believe in a simple idea: a well-chosen piece remains relevant long after a single season.
It all began in 1991, in Neamț County, in a workshop set up right at home. Our parents worked with natural fur using their own hands. Our father knew the materials and knew how to assess a hide, while our mother brought her tailoring expertise and an eye for cut. We grew up in that workshop and learned from an early age that behind a well-made garment lie experience, patience, and respect for the material. From our parents, we also inherited the things that cannot be seen: discipline, reliability, and the conviction that a reputation is built over years and can be lost in a day.
Starting with the fur hats with which it all began, we gradually built an elegant and urban brand. Today, MAREUS collections include natural fur garments, shearling and merino pieces, genuine leather jackets, cashmere and wool coats, vests, capes, and accessories, alongside a line dedicated to men.

The people behind the brand
We are the second generation of a family business, and we have grown it from different but complementary perspectives.
After completing our studies, we saw in our family’s accumulated experience an opportunity to build more than a retail business: a contemporary brand with identity, standards, and a clear direction.
Marian has a technical background and a career spanning more than ten years in IT, experience that has brought a structured approach to MAREUS, focused on strategy, digitalization, processes, and long-term development.
Eusebiu graduated in Management, specializing in Marketing, and is closely involved in operations, business development, and customer relations.
We have different styles, and this complementarity is precisely what helps us. We make important decisions together, with the same goal: to build MAREUS on a solid, coherent, and long-term foundation.
Our mission
I grew up with the idea that a good garment should not be relevant for just one season. We wanted to carry on the family’s experience in a contemporary form: through elegant, urban pieces made from natural materials and easy to incorporate into a modern wardrobe.
We do not believe that tradition means remaining in the past, nor that elegance must follow every trend. Modern, but rooted. Urban, but elegant.
In a world of fast consumption, we believe in pieces made to last. We select natural materials and products that can retain their value, both aesthetically and functionally. We focus on the quality of the materials, cut, comfort, finishes, and attention to detail.
Every purchase is accompanied by information about product care, and our team provides recommendations and advice both online and in the showroom.
For us, a successful sale does not end when a product leaves the store. It is confirmed when the customer comes back.
Materials chosen to last
For us, a premium product starts with the material.
MAREUS collections are built around natural fur, genuine leather, shearling, wool, cashmere, and other natural fibers, selected for their quality, appearance, and long-lasting durability.
Natural fur comes predominantly from Saga Furs, the Finnish auction house, as well as from other specialized auction houses in Northern Europe and North America. We have also begun integrating Furmark-certified materials into our collections, an international traceability standard.
Part of the collection continues to be made in the Neamț region, preserving our connection to our origins, while the development of the other products is carried out together with specialized European factories.
In this way, MAREUS brings together two worlds: the experience we grew up with and the expertise required of a contemporary premium outerwear brand.
